“Sheefish are the main draw. That’s what people usually sign up for,” says Greg Halbach, owner of Remote Waters, which offers guided fishing trips in the Brooks Range. “But it’s not the only game in town.”
This short video highlights the perhaps overlooked and underappreciated northern pike fishery found in the clean, cold waters of the Brooks Range. Whether throwing streamers or enticing pike with mice patterns, “the takes are vicious,” says Halbach. “It’s just pure excitement!”
